This myth has effectively crippled much evangelism in the West in our time because we actually believe it and operate as if it were true.

And it is not. Anyone in church leadership in the West knows that to a great extent, the growth of active Christians in a Christian community (of whatever sort- big church, little church, home church, store.

Book Review: Ten Myths About Calvinism J • Craig. Many opponents view Calvinism as anti-evangelism and ant-missions and many proponents view those on the the other side of the debate with something akin to disdain.

In it lies one of the best chapters I have ever read on evangelism. Shadrach goes through the many ways to expose people to the gospel and reveals his evangelism and ultimately ministry strategy.

Some, but not all, of these reactions stem from us buying into lies or myths about evangelism. As I tend to my own heart and those in our congregation I have found four reoccurring myths that get thoughtlessly raised like the morning flag. Let’s take a look at them and debunk them with Scripture.
